Who we are

The operator of japanese-zen.com and the controller of your data is Japanese Zen, run by Z. U. Enikeeva (individual, taxpayer ID 025901445102). Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

The waitlist form collects your email address; the options you ticked (Premium in the app, a course with a teacher, a conversation club); the site language; the address of the page where you signed up; the date and time; and the version of the consent text.

For spam protection we store a one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day. We do not store the IP address itself.

Why we use it

To send you one email when the option you chose opens, with the 30% discount for the first 3 months, and to understand demand: how many people want what, in which language.

We don't send newsletters, we don't sell or share the list, and we don't use it for advertising.

Legal basis

Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.

Where and how long

The data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare, Inc.), which also hosts this site.

We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, and for at most 24 months after sign-up.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, or withdraw your consent by writing to [email protected]. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also complain to your data-protection authority.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and clicks, including a "form sent" event that does not contain your email address. Advertising storage and ad personalization are switched off. GA4 sets its own cookies (_ga); you can block them in your browser. We don't set our own cookies.

There are no accounts on this site. The learning app itself is a separate service with its own privacy policy.
